He’s now spending more time developing his own personal art and expressions of creativity. As the Associate Director of Norman Arts Council from 2012 through 2024, promoting the Norman Arts community through the installation of exhibitions at MAINSITE Contemporary Art, support of public art projects, management of social media and designing 2nd Friday Norman Art Walk posters for the entirety of his tenure.

Working in abstract expressionism, Bridget Trowbridge’s art is a personal way of processing life and emotion. She draws inspiration from the energy of artists like Basquiat, Cy Twombly, and Francis Bacon. She says, “My work is a visual record of my life. I create mixed media pieces using oil pastels, charcoal, chalk, graphite, and paint on wood panels and canvas. The subjects shift between pop culture, Oklahoma places, florals, and figures inspired by experiences that have shaped my life.”
